Local Kine Hawaii is proud to present the hottest fashion trend to ever hit the 808 State:

The Bambi Stray Fawn Canvas Carry-on Duffel Bag

Yes, that’s right…forget about Louis Vuitton signature Sac Chien. The Bambi Duffel is made of luxurious canvas, and available for purchase in Black at the Local Kine Surf Shop. This simple and comfortable, yet highly trendy, duffel is the perfect accessory to tote your pet fawn around in.

Stray Fawn Found

All joking aside, the cute newborn fawn (just a few hours old), seen in the photographs on this page, was found near the side of the road abandoned by its mother. The baby deer was found by two beach-goers driving by.

The little buck was taken to a local resident’s and adopted as a pet. The local resident has 2 other deer in his care.

FYI on Deer in the Hawaiian Islands

pictures of baby deer molokai

Deer are not indigenous to the Hawaiian Islands. Axis and Black-tailed deer were brought to Hawaii as a game species. They can be found on the islands of Maui, Moloka’i, Lana’i, and Kauai.

As of late, the number of deer in Hawaii has increased, thus making it necessary for measures to be taken to control the growth of the deer population. Although they are definitely a sight to see in the wild, deer (as well as other game species here) have done damage not only to private properties but also to Hawaii’s forest and native plant species.
